Alec and Olivia Harrison: A Legacy of Family and Culture at the Koori Knockout

Alec Harrison, elder within the South Coast community, attended this year’s Koori Knockout to proudly support both his son, the captain of the South Coast Sea Eagles, and his granddaughter Olivia Harrison, who played for the Blacktown Red Belly Warriors.


Alec spoke with NITV Radio about how the Knockout has evolved over the years, reflecting on the growing sense of community and the importance of passing down cultural traditions to the next generation.

For Olivia, playing in the Knockout holds deep meaning. She shared how special it is to carry on her family’s legacy, highlighting her grandfather Alec as her biggest inspiration.
