NITV Radio speaks with Dr Mandy Nicholson ahead of the ngurrak-al marram-u / body of the mountain exhibition by BodyPlaceProject at Burrinja Gallery. Nicholson is a Wurundjeri Traditional Custodian, artist, dancer and curator.

The exhibition sees work from 8 creatives after having undertaken and 3-day residency walking Country with Mandy traversing the Corhanwarrabul also known as the the Dandenong Ranges.

Nicholson's inclusion in the exhibition will include a dance workshop as well as a dance performance at the Opening Ceromony with the Djirri Djirri Wurundjeri Dance. There will also be a mixed fibre work created by Dr Nicholson made with various materials sewn together the she describes as, "skeleton and remnants of the gum leaf".

The exhibition ngurrak-al marram-u / body of the mountain by BodyPlaceProject will be at Burrinja Gallery commencing from 24 May – 13 July 2025.
