This year Indigenous Business Month celebrated a significant milestone – marking its 10th anniversary. Last week, a special breakfast event commemorated this achievement and honouring the successes of Indigenous businesses over the past decade. as well as announcing this year’s Indigenous Business Month award winners.


Among the outstanding First Nations businesses recognised at the event was Project Net Zero, awarded the Indigenous Ingenuity Award.

Led by CEO of Project Net Zero, proud Kamilaroi man Aron Kurzydlo, the organisation exemplifies forward-thinking innovation with its commitment to sustainability and environmental impacts within Indigenous communities.

In a recent yarn with NITV Radio, Aron shared insights into the journey of Project Net Zero and the important work do socially as well as for the environment.

This award reflects the hard work, ingenuity, and cultural pride embedded within Indigenous-led businesses, highlighting the important role they play in shaping a resilient and sustainable future.
