Young Indigenous music artists Cianna and Olivia share their journey of breaking into the music industry

Becoming a music artist is more than just what's on stage, Cianna and Olivia share their thoughts and experience as they build their future in the worlds of music and education.


Cianna Walker and Olivia Coe Fox are a Sydney-based music duo that showcase their talents through their musical abilities.

Cianna is a Yuin and Gumbaynggirr woman who grew up singing from a young age. Currently studying at an Honours level, she continues to work towards her goals as an aspiring artist. Cianna is currently developing her skills as a producer and songwriter - something she hopes she can use to bring more First Nations voices into the music industry.

Olivia is a Wiradjuri woman who started performing when she attended Newtown High School of the Performing Arts. Through the Vocal Identification Program (VIP), Olivia and Cianna met, taking their music journey to what it is today. Olivia currently has aspirations to continue in working in the education industry and to support young Indigenous students.

Cianna and Olivia have sung alongside esteemed Australian artists such as Dami Im, Guy Sebastian, and Delta Goodrem. They will continue to work together to share their talents with the rest of the world.

Upcoming they have a returning performance at WugulOra morning ceremony at Barangaroo, where they had the chance to perform in 2024. They enjoy being able to connect with community in this way and share their legacies with both Indigenous and Non-Indigenous people.
