Whilst nobody was reported injured in the incident, the restaurant has suffered heavy damage amounting to worth approximately AUD $100,000, reported Times of India.
"The flames were seen around 4:30 pm and immediately fire tenders were rushed to the spot," said police official C L Patil.
The police are yet to ascertain the cause of the fire.
Meanwhile, videos surfacing on social media show the establishment engulfed in massive flames.
Ms Todd shot to fame after she finished in the top 10 of the 2014 series of MasterChef Australia, a hugely popular show in the Indian subcontinent.
The 31-year-old single mum made her way into the hearts of the Indians when she cooked a traditional Punjabi dish in one of the show's episodes. She became an overnight star in India, which was followed by a promotional tour to the country that changed her life.
It was during this tour that a chance meeting with one of India’s most established restaurateurs, Ashish Kapur, saw her offered the chance to open up her own beachside restaurant and resort in Goa.
The establishment which includes a 250-seater alfresco restaurant, 13 wooden cottages, an infinity pool, boutique and a beach club opened its doors to the public in late 2015.
Ms Todd is now preparing to set up her second restaurant under the name The Wine Rack in the heart of Mumbai.
