S2 #3 POUYEHALI. How UGG Australia was created

"Pouehali" is an SBS Russian podcast where we talk about the waves of emigration from Russia and the Soviet Union. In the second season, we talk about the emigration of Jews from the USSR to Australia, which began in 1974.

Lyuda and Roman Fishman came to Australia from Dnepropetrovsk in 1980. Lyuda worked as a kitchen hand at a restaurant on Acland Street to earn her first $60 and buy three sheepskins.

This is how they started UGG Australia, which now purchases skins in 3,500 batches.
