Australia’s skilled occupation lists have been updated on 17 January 2018, Home Affairs Department web site said.
Therefore, those updates come in to effect from 17 January and it came after the review conducted by the Department of Jobs and Small Business in late 2017.
According to the Home Affairs Department web site, these changes have done to reflect the requirements of Australian job market and also to support to skill shortage that unable to fill by locals.
This 6 monthly review and update process of occupation lists was introduced by the federal government in last year April to perfectly match the occupations lists to Australian labour market.
Who will affect?
These changes will only apply to applications which submit on 17 January 2018 or after that, Department said.
And also it will not affect existing nominations or applications made prior to this date.
But for the point-tested visas, these changes will apply to invitations issued on or after 17 January 2018.

Occupations added to the lists
Three occupations as follows were newly added to the STSOL which were not on either STSOL or MTSOL.

Following two occupations were moved from the STSOL to the MTLSSL.

Following two occupations listed below will be completely removed from the lists of eligible skilled occupations for all skilled visa programs on 17 January 2018.
