Several community groups in Australia are part of the efforts to collect funds and food for the victims of Australian bushfires.
St Mark's Anglican Church Revesby joined collaboration efforts with Hussaini Mission in Sydney to help the bushfire affectees.
Urdu Minister and Father Ejaz Gill from the church said the purpose was to assist the victims to get back to their feet.
“This is the first time we have collected food items to share our love and compassion with the bushfire victims.
"Milk, water, cereal, and food items in cans were part of many things that people donated to give to the firefighters.
"People are extremely motivated to help our friends in the fire service and we will continue this effort to assist them."
Head of Hussaini Mission, Asim Raza said that they are helping the community which is what Islam teaches, love and compassion.
"We feel our brothers and sisters in Australia needed us and we did whatever we can to help by raising the voice plus food and cash donations.

“We ran a campaign for a week through four mosques in Campbelltown, Bankstown, Marsden Park and Rooty Hill... The response from the community was overwhelming and we were able to collect many items that filled a truck.
“We delivered food and other items in Wingello, Penrose, Bundanoon, Exeter, Moss Vale, Minto and at the NSW Foodbank.”
President of the Australia Indian Welfare Association, Khalid Ghauri, said that they are organising a charity match to collect funds for the bushfire victims.
“There are 16 teams playing the T20 cricket tournament. We are spending our own money to hold the event. Any funds we collect will be donated to the relevant bushfire charity.
Imam of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Victoria, Syed Wadood Janud told SBS Urdu that they are running a national campaign and collecting food, water and non-perishable items and donating them in bushfire affected areas.

“We are in touch with local fire departments, local mayors and food banks and also providing them financial assistance.
“In Melbourne, we have collected over $10,000 worth of items and donated them to the victims.”
Shahid Afridi Foundation, Australian chapter head, Atif Faheem said that their organisation has donated water bottles to RFS.
"We have donated over 4,000 water bottles to RFS and are currently collecting donations to help the bushfire victims including medicines, non-perishable and personal hygiene items."
PAASA (Pakistan Australian Association of South Australia) is also organising a fundraising event in Adelaide to help the affectees of bushfire on 25th January 2020.
