Anglican church head criticises Essendon for Thorburn pressure

The head of the Anglican church in Melbourne has criticised AFL club Essendon for asking former CEO Andrew Thorburn to choose between leading his church or leading the club. Thorburn resigned on Tuesday just one day after he was appointed. Legal experts say he could argue a case of religious discrimination against Essendon.
