'Not the act of a friend': Trump slaps 10% tariff on Australian exports

A blanket 10% tariff has been applied to all Australian goods exported to the United States. Donald Trump, singled out beef for criticism, describing Australia's trade restrictions on imports as a "ban". The Prime Minister has announced $50 million in emergency funding for impacted industries while leaving no doubt that the friendship with the US is under pressure.
