Myles must return says Hodges

Queensland have already wrapped up the Origin series, but Justin Hodges says they can't go into Game III without one man.

Queensland Origin legend Justin Hodges has thrown his support behind Nate Myles ahead of State of Origin Game III.

The Maroons forward missed the second match of the series through injury, with Josh McGuire and Jacob Lillyman excelling in his absence.

But Hodges told NITV’s League Nation Live, Myles should be a certain starter for the Maroons.

“In my opinion he comes back.

“He’s been one of our greatest players over the last 11 years. He’s been our player’s player about five or six times, which is massive,” said Hodges.

Whilst several point to the likes of Johnathan Thurston and Cameron Smith when analysing the success of Queensland, Hodges says Myles impact should not be understated.

“You look at all the players we’ve had in our side, they’re all megastars.

“He does all the small things that don’t get noticed. He turns up, shuts the gate, takes the hard run, talks,

“A guy like Nate Myles you have him in the side every day,” said Hodges.
