It's time for your cycling news in two minutes.

On stage twelve in the Giro d'Italia, Julian Alaphilippe delivered a remarkable and decisive performance. The stage, which was expected to be challenging, saw Alaphilippe strategically jump into a long breakaway before launching a powerful and well-timed attack in the final kilometres.

His explosive effort not only secured him a memorable stage win, but also underscored his status as one of the sport's most versatile and formidable rider. Even Tadej Pogačar one of the favourite and highly accomplished riders, of course, was left in awe with Alaphilippes' performance.

With this, win, Alaphilippe becomes the 105th rider in the history of our sport to have won a stage in all grand Tours and the 10th from France.

On the less happy news, Fabio Jacobsen withdrew before stage twelve due to injuries and persistent pain from an earlier crash. Despite his efforts to continue, his condition forced him to leave the race.

In the Vuelta a Burgos Femininas Lotta Henttala claimed the victory on the opening stage with a powerful sprint. Lotta Henttala Is Sarah Gigante's teammate riding for Ag Insurance Soudal Quick Step. She outpaced her rival in the final metres to secure the win. Her, triumph not only gives her an early lead in the race but also sets a positive tone for the team as they move forward in a multi-stage event.

In the four days of Dunkirk, Sam Bennett, continues to demonstrate his exceptional sprinting capabilities by winning stage number three, marking his second stage win in this race. The stage known for his challenging route and competitive field saw Bennett strategically positioned himself through the race before making his decisive move in the final sprint.

This victory not only reinforces Bennett's status as one of the top sprinters but also boosts his team morale even more with wins on the roads of Italy too. Decathlon is currently ranked the second-best team in the UCI standings.
