As is tradition for all artists, Dami Im has recorded a video message introducing herself for Eurovision fans around the world. As well as exclaiming her excitement to participate in Eurovision 2016 in Stockholm, Dami also shares a bit about her backstory and her hobbies.
Dami’s video message is kind of a big deal for Aussie fans too. Because the Eurovision rules don’t allow any country to vote for their own contestant in the finals this means that we need YOU – the Aussie fans, to help spread the word to Europe.
While was a wildcard entry that saw him go straight through to the Grand Final, that was simply a one-off. This year if Australia wants to get through to the Grand Final, we’ll need to win over audiences during the finals and gain enough votes to earn our way to the top.
