This year's Eurovision Song Contest will be taking place in St. Jakobshalle, Basel, Switzerland.
There's a huge range of songs, styles and coming our way during two semi-finals and the electrifying grand final.
This year also marks the 10-year anniversary of Australia's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Watch all past Australian entries at our dedicated.

There are 37 acts that will be taking to the stage, including our very own Go-Jo with his song 'Milkshake Man'. The music videos are also available to watch on the on SBS On Demand.
Here are the acts performing in the First Semi-Final, in Running Order.
Iceland: VÆB - “Róa”
VÆB (pronounced 'vibe') are a duo made up of brothers Matthías Davíð Matthíasson and Hálfdán Helgi Matthíasson.
The pair have been involved in music since they were young, having come from a very musical family. Their father, Matthías, is an organist, saxophone teacher and choir director. Their mother, Áslaug, is a singer and singing teacher.
The siblings started learning musical instruments at an early age; Hálfdán on drums and Matthías playing the trumpet. The brothers have sung a lot since childhood, and in 2015, aged 12, Hálfdán won the popular Icelandic television singing competition, The Christmas Star.
In 2022, the brothers formed the duo VÆB after posting a comedy song on TikTok. It attracted so much attention on social media, they decided to release it on streaming platforms and have been putting out music ever since.
Poland: Justyna Steczkowska - “Gaja”
Hailed as "the shaman of the Polish music scene", Justyna Steczkowska is an artist who has made a name for herself as a vocalist, violinist, composer, songwriter, actress and photographer.
The multi-talented Justyna has released 19 studio albums, recorded over 200 songs and performed more than 3,000 concerts. In recent years, she has been sitting in the judges chair on The Voice of Poland, where she has earned the nickname 'Mrs. Professor'!
The artist has won numerous accolades and music awards, including as many as 6 Fryderyk Awards, 2 Wiktor Awards, Gala’s Roses (Róże Gali) and the Amber Nightingale Award (Bursztynowy Słowik), to name a few.
Basel 2025 won’t be Justyna’s first time competing for her country. 30 years ago at the Eurovision Song Contest 1995, Justyna Steczkowska represented Poland with the song "Sama".
Slovenia: Klemen - "How Much Time Do We Have Left"
The quadruple threat started his TV career in 2007 on the popular show Hri-bar, through a series of musical impersonations of Slovenian singers. Today, he’s still famous for his impersonations, which draw huge viewing figures on his YouTube channel.
Over the years, he has hosted numerous TV shows, including 4 editions of Slovenia’s Eurovision pre-selection EMA, which he entered as an artist for the first time in 2025 and won.
In recent times, Klemen has dedicated himself to advancing his knowledge of music production, with a focus on songwriting. His first solo album, recorded in London, will be released in 2025.
Estonia: Tommy Cash - “Espresso Macchiato”
Not only a musician, Tommy Cash is an accomplished visual artist, consuming and repackaging global trends through his own gaze and sense of humour.
After rising to the top of the Estonian entertainment scene, Tommy Cash’s success has quickly spread internationally, too. He has toured the US & Europe and performed at some of the biggest festivals, such as Glastonbury, Sziget and Roskilde.
Tommy’s artistic endeavors have been well received in some major publications of fashion, music and film: Dazed has praised his bold manner of bringing attention to today’s sensitive topics; Vogue has characterised his sense of style as both rebellious and weirdly funny; while VICE has remarked upon “an extreme uniqueness through his art as a multi-talented, fearless and creative young Eastern European lad”.
Spain: Melody - "Esa Diva"
Since her first hit at just 10 years old with El Baile Del Gorila, Melody has maintained a special connection with audiences, experimenting with pop, flamenco and Latin music, and topping the charts in more than 15 countries.
Throughout her career, the multifaceted artist has released over 30 singles and 6 albums. She loves to surprise her fans with something new and continues to cement her success with recent hits like Bandido and Mujer Loba.
Beyond her music career, Melody has built up a following on television, where her humour and charm regularly delight Spanish viewers. She has appeared on popular shows such as Tu Cara Me Suena and in Paco León’s series Arde Madrid, further showcasing her talent for entertainment and her ability to reinvent herself.
Ukraine: Ziferblat - "Bird of Pray"
With their sound, this trio have set out to blend the deep musical heritage of each member, along with a rich production and heartfelt lyrics.
Formed in 2015, Ziferblat rose to prominence a few years later, when they took part in X-Factor Ukraine. On the 2019 edition of the show, they were mentored by Andriy Danylko – otherwise known to Eurovision fans as Verka Serduchka!
In recent years, the band has won numerous Ukrainian music awards. Further recognition for Ziferblat’s music arrived when 9 of their tracks were chosen for the soundtrack to the popular video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Sweden: Kaj - "Bara Bada Bastu"
The trio quickly earned a reputation for their witty, nostalgic songs celebrating Finnish and Swedish culture; infused with Nordic folk melodies, modern pop and theatrical performances.
The group is made up of Kevin Holmström, Axel Åhman and Jakob Norrgård. They have released 7 albums, written and performed two musicals at Wasa Theatre in Finland, and even got to put on a huge arena show for their 10th anniversary celebration.
KAJ are the first Finnish act to represent Sweden at the Eurovision, and Bara Bada Bastu is the first Swedish-language song that Sweden has sent to the Contest since 1998.
Portugal: Napa - "Deslocado"
The foundations of this band were based on the energy they derived from the Arctic Monkeys and Red Hot Chilli Peppers, the melodies of the Beatles and the sensibility of Caetano Veloso and Tom Jobim.
In 2019, the band recorded their first album Senso Comum, which introduced audiences to their infectious melodies and melancholic spirit. 2023’s Logo Se Vê was their second LP, this time showcasing a more mature sound. After completing their first national tour in 2024, NAPA are set to release their third album in late 2025
The band is made up of Guilherme Gomes, Lourenço Gomes, Francisco Sousa, Diogo Góis and João Rodrigues.
Norway: Kyle Alessandro - "Lighter"
As young as 10 years old, he impressed viewers and judges on the TV show Norway’s Got Talent, earning a ‘golden buzzer’ on his first audition and going straight to the final.
Kyle, who is half Spanish and speaks four languages, is known for drawing inspiration from a wide range of musical genres and cultures – from South America and Japan to Nordic folk music. His Eurovision entry Lighter is a pop song with a unique sound that mixes baroque and medieval elements with Norwegian folk.
A self-confessed “music geek”, Kyle is also a dancer and was a member of the boyband Umami Tsunami, who competed in Norway’s Eurovision pre-selection Melodi Grand Prix in 2023, reaching the final of the competition with Geronimo.
Belgium: Red Sebastian - "Strobe Lights"
It was over a decade ago, at the age of 14, that Seppe Herreman first rose to fame as a finalist in Belgium's Got Talent.
That experience under the spotlight further fuelled the artist’s passion for music, which had begun at the age of 7. He continued his studies at the Conservatory of Ghent, where he received singing lessons from none other than Gustaph (Belgium’s artist at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2023)!
At the Conservatory, Seppe developed his alter ego: Red Sebastian. The rouge-tinted pop star was a finalist in the 2024 TV talent show Sing Again, during which he stood out for both his fantastic vocal range and a remarkable array of outfits.
Red Sebastian is also an accomplished piano player, having been inspired by Lady Gaga at an early age.
Italy: Lucio Corsi - "Volevo essere un duro"
Lucio Corsi is an Italian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the Maremma in southern Tuscany.
His music draws inspiration from both the great Italian and the classic singer-songwriter traditions, with influences ranging from Paolo Conte and Lucio Dalla to Bob Dylan and Randy Newman.
As well as being the title of his Eurovision Song Contest entry, Volevo Essere Un Duro is also the name of Lucio’s new LP. It follows a critically-lauded run of albums: La Gente Che Sogna, inspired by 1970s glam rock; the acclaimed Cosa Faremo Da Grandi?; the concept album Bestiario Musicale, which explores the animals of his homeland; and his early EPs Altalena Boy and Vetulonia Dakar.
Azerbaijan: Mamagama - "Run With U"
Ahead of their Eurovision journey, Mamagama have prior experience of captivating audiences at international music competitions, including an acclaimed performance at Albania’s Kënga Magjike Music Festival in 2022.
Mamagama's distinct sound blends modern influences with the deep-rooted musical heritage of Azerbaijan, creating an unforgettable experience for listeners worldwide.
The band is made up of three best friends: Asef on vocals, Hasan on guitar and Arif on drums.
San Marino: Gabry Ponte - "Tutta l'Italia"
This Italian talent is perhaps best known for producing the hit single Blue (Da Ba Dee) with his band Eiffel 65, which sold over 8 million copies and topped the charts worldwide.
As a solo artist, the DJ boasts hundreds of live sets performed around Europe. In 2023 alone, Gabry played 90 times in 11 countries, getting over 700,000 people dancing. On streaming, he is one of the Top Three most-streamed Italian artists globally, alongside Meduza and Eurovision Song Contest 2021 winners Måneskin.
Gabry also has a prior Eurovision connection to his name! In 2022, when the Contest came to us from Turin in Italy, Gabry was a songwriter on the Austrian entry Halo by LUM!X feat. Pia Maria.
Albania: Shkodra Elektronike - "Zjerm"
This duo is made up of songwriter and producer Kolë Laca and singer and songwriter Beatriçe Gjergji. At the heart of the project is the pair's passion for re-interpreting the traditional songs of Shkodër in a contemporary electronic style.
Over the years, Shkodra Elektronike have performed at some major festivals around Europe, including Paléo Festival (Geneva), EXIT Festival (Novi Sad), MOST Festival (Veszprém), Pin Music Conference (Sofia), and SoAlive (Vienna).
The duo are currently producing their debut album, which is going to include some prestigious features. Already signed up to appear on it are the Albanian Iso-Polyphonic Choir (a UNESCO cultural heritage), Redi Hasa and Roy Paci.
Netherlands: Claude - "C'est La Vie"
Despite his young age, the singer-songwriter Claude comes to the Eurovision Song Contest with over a hundred million streams and countless sold-out shows to his name.
Claude’s breakthrough came in 2022 with the release of his debut single Ladada (Mon Dernier Mot). He won the 3FM Award for 'Best Newcomer', was named '3FM Talent', and Qmusic crowned him as 'Best Artist of the Year'.
Claude released his debut album Parler Français in 2024, on which he co-wrote all the songs himself. With it, he's been able to tour the Netherlands and Belgium with his band. An international career was launched via the release of an English-French version of Ladada, which has now charted in over 15 countries.
Croatia: Marko Bošnjak - "Poison Cake"
Despite his young age, Marko Bošnjak can already lay claim to numerous awards and recognitions bestowed upon him. The Porin award for Best New Artist is one in particular that Marko holds dear.
The artist won the hearts of the Croatian audience when he was just 11 years old, performing in the popular TV show Pink's Stars.
Marko has recently commenced a new creative era, which so far includes the singles Pusti Me, Asfalt and Takav Dan. The release of his debut album is also incoming, on which the musical chameleon aims to defy genres and stereotypes.
Switzerland: Zoë Më - "Voyage"
She sings in both German and French, blending poetic pop with 'chanson'. Born in Basel, she lived in Germany before moving with her family to Fribourg in 2009.
She began writing her own songs at the age of 10, and her love for the French language soon began to shape her musicality; which she nurtured through school, friendships and her personal passions.
Her ability to bridge cultures through music has earned her widespread recognition. In 2024, she was awarded 'SRF 3 Best Talent' and 'RTS Artiste Radar'. Her bilingual EP Dorienne Gris led to performances at prestigious festivals, including the Montreux Jazz Festival and Luzern Live.
Cyprus: Theo Evan - "Shh"
Born in Nicosia, his early days were spent in dance lessons, singing in his school choir and performing in a variety of theatre productions and talent shows across Cyprus. After graduating from school, Theo moved to the US to study music and performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
Theo released his first single The Wall in 2021, building up a strong catalogue of singles since then; inspired by everything from Stromae to Michael Jackson to reggaeton.
Eagle-eyed viewers might have spotted Theo in HBO’s hit TV series Euphoria, where he’s appeared as an extra!

Australia: Go-Jo - "Milkshake Man"
Go-Jo, the magnetic musician who can play guitar and unicycle at the same time, is now based in Sydney after being raised off-grid in rural Western Australia.
A social media powerhouse, Go-Jo has amassed over 1.4 million followers across TikTok, YouTube and Instagram. In 2023, Go-Jo was the 9th most streamed Australian artist in the world. He’s toured across Australia, Europe, United States and Southeast Asia, and shared the stage with some of the biggest artists in the world.
You may well have heard Go-Jo's previous hit single Mrs. Hollywood, after it was shared around the world at an incredible speed, with over 60 million digital streams and one billion views across all platforms.
Montenegro: Nina Žižić - “Dobrodošli”
Nina featured alongside Montenegrin hip-hop duo Who See at Malmö 2013, performing Igranka; a song which has gone on to become a cult favourite in the Eurovision Song Contest fan community.
The singer first rose to fame as a member of the group Negre. Nina left to embark on a solo career that has included the release of numerous singles and exciting collaborations, achieving notable success with hits such as Strogo Povjerljivo, Rijeka Suza and Zabranjujem.
A highly-regarded live performer, Nina has appeared at festivals such as Europjesma and Sunčane Skala, and received critical acclaim for her performance at the inaugural edition of Montesong in 2024.
Ireland: Emmy - "Laika Party"
Her career got a kick-start in 2015 when, aged 15, she participated in Melodi Grand Prix Junior, one of the biggest music competitions in her country. 6 years later, in 2021, she participated in Melodi Grand Prix, Norway's pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. The song she performed was Witch Woods and it made it to the final of the competition.
Today, she is especially known for singing on TikTok, and has a profile with 1.2 million followers from around the world. She has also been working with big-name producers such as K-391 and Braaheim.
In 2024, she was in Los Angeles, Latvia and France taking part in various songwriting sessions composing more hits. Emmy is also a freelance graphic designer.
Latvia: Tautumeitas - “Bur man laimi”
The band have become a huge force in the Latvian music scene, gaining widespread recognition for their unique sound. Their latest album, Skrejceļš, was celebrated with a 17-date tour and performances at Glastonbury (United Kingdom), Eurosonic (Netherlands), Rudolstadt (Germany) and Festival Du Bout du Monde (France).
Their live shows are immersive experiences; with a background in ethnomusicology, the band channel the energy of ancestral chants while weaving traditional Latvian folklore into their performances.
In Latvian culture, a ‘tautumeita’ represents beauty, feminine power and cultural pride; qualities that perfectly embody the spirit of the band, made up of Asnate Rancāne (vocals, violin), Aurēlija Rancāne (vocals, drums), Laura Līcīte (vocals, violin), Gabriēla Zvaigznīte (vocals), Annemarija Moiseja (vocals, melodica, percussion) and Kate Slišāne (vocals, mandolin, clarinet).
Armenia: Parg - “Survivor”
Hailing from the picturesque town of Hayravank, he is a genre-bending force, constantly reinventing himself through folk, electronic and alternative sounds.
The artist's music is deeply rooted in Armenian culture, yet forward-thinking and innovative, positioning him as a trailblazer in modern Armenian pop music.
In 2021 he released his debut single, Ginin u Grely, introducing audiences to his distinctive sound. His most recent single, Araj, was nominated for Best Music Video at the Armenian Music Video Awards.
Austria: JJ - “Wasted Love”
The singer, whose real name is Johannes Pietsch, was born in Vienna in 2001 and grew up in Dubai before returning to Vienna in 2016.
Music fans may recognise JJ from the TV talent show Starmania, where he showcased his extraordinary voice and range, making it to the finals of the show in 2021. Currently, the Austrian-Filipino artist performs at the Vienna State Opera and has participated in numerous productions, including Die Zauberflöte, Von der Liebe Tod and Tschick.
Offstage, he continues to refine his craft by studying classical music at the renowned Music and Art Private University of Vienna (MUK).
United Kingdom: Remember Monday - “What The Hell Just Happened?”
As well as their own brand of empowering pop, the trio have become renowned for their unique takes on other artists' songs, many of which have gone viral on social media. To date, the girls have amassed over half a million loyal followers and well over 11.3 million likes on TikTok alone.
The trio first hit British TV screens in 2019, when they reached the quarter-finals of The Voice UK, mentored by none other than 'EGOT'-winning sensation Jennifer Hudson.
Since then, Remember Monday have released two EPs and 12 singles, each with a focus on their epic three-way harmonies and some clever, heartfelt songwriting.
Greece: Klavdia - “Asteromata”
The artist has gone from reaching the final of The Voice of Greece (where she was mentored by Eurovision winner Helena Paparizou) to releasing platinum-selling singles. She has also amassed a huge following on social media, due to her unique interpretations of pop classics.
Hits like Haramata and Vasanizomai helped her win Best Newcomer at the Super Music Awards in Cyprus in 2023. And Lonely Heart became her first number 1 on the Shazam Discovery List.
In her relatively short time in the spotlight, Klavdia has already appeared on stage alongside some all-time-great artists, such as Dionysis Savvopoulos, at the Mad Video Music Awards with Konstantinos Argyros, and in concerts with Giorgos Sampanis.
Lithuania: Katarsis - “Tavo Akys”
Made up of Lukas Radzevičius (vocals), Alanas Brasas (guitar), Emilija Kandratavičiūtė (bass guitar) and Jokūbas Andriulis (drums), the band debuted with Vasara Galvoj Minoras, a track that has gone on to become their signature song.
Blending elements of alternative rock, post-punk and indie, Katarsis are known for exploring themes of pain, longing and personal liberation in their music; songs which come to life via the group’s powerful performances.
2024 saw the release of their first EP, Dausos, which allowed Katarsis to further push the artistic boundaries their fans love to hear them explore.
Malta: Miriana Conte - “Serving”
With a voice that commands attention, Miriana Conte enjoys blending contemporary pop with edgy and dynamic elements, pushing boundaries both vocally and visually. Miriana likes to ensure that her fun, bubbly and quirky character always shines through, on and off the microphone.
Music has been a part of the Maltese artist’s life since the age of 5, when she started taking singing lessons and quickly developed a passion for performance.
In 2017, at just 16 years old, she first attempted to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest. This marked the beginning of a Eurovision dream that now comes to fruition, 8 years later.
Georgia: Mariam Shengelia - “Freedom”
From a small town in Georgia to the grand stage of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, Mariam Shangelia’s journey can be seen as a testament to her talent, perseverance and sheer determination.
Without formal training or industry connections, the artist has managed to build her career from the ground up, proving that hard work and raw talent can defy any odds.
Mariam first gained national recognition on The X Factor Georgia, where her distinctive voice and emotional depth set her apart. Determined to push her artistry even further, she later competed on The Voice Georgia, captivating audiences with her powerful performances and undeniable stage presence.
Beyond her solo career, Mariam is also a member of Mixtura, a band known for its fusion of diverse musical influences. Performing in a group setting has expanded her artistic range and strengthened her ability to command the stage.
France: Louane - “Maman”
Louane, a major icon of the French music scene, is considered more than just an artist: She has been called a bridge between the personal and the universal.
First coming to prominence at just 16 years of age on The Voice, and crowned with a César Award for La Famille Bélier, she has, in just a decade, touched millions of hearts and created a deeply human body of work.
From Chambre 12 (double diamond-certified), propelled by the phenomenal success of Avenir, to Sentiments, born from an intimate collaboration with her fans, each album reflects a key chapter in her life.
With sold-out tours across Europe’s largest venues and prestigious accolades (NRJ Music Awards, Victoires de la Musique), this artist lights up the stage with her voice, her sincerity, and her ability to capture the essence of human emotions.
Denmark: Sissal - “Hallucination”
Since moving to Denmark, she has been honing her craft as a musician and live performer. For Sissal, it's also about inspiring others to be true to themselves and to embrace their uniqueness; with her voice, ambition and determination, Sissal strives to break boundaries.
The artist is inspired by Nordic electropop from the likes of Dagny and Robyn, and is also a big fan of the Eurovision Song Contest, describing it as a world that she feels right at home in.
As a mother, Sissal has faced prejudice about her pop career, but refuses to let that define her. She aims to show that women can have thriving careers and make music after having children – a concept rarely questioned of men.
Czechia: Adonxs - “Kiss Kiss Goodbye”
The multi-talented performer rose to fame as the winner of SuperStar Czech-Slovakia in 2021 and has since released a string of singles, as well as his debut album Age of ADONXS.
ADONXS grew up listening to music legends such as Queen, Depeche Mode, Elton John and Prince, and has cited Troye Sivan, Mahmood, RAYE and Conan Gray as some of his current influences.
In 2022, the artist won 'Singer of the Year' and 'Musical Discovery', courtesy of Czech radio station Evropa 2.
Luxembourg: Laura Thorn - “La poupée monte le son”
From a young age, Laura has been immersed in the world of music. At 5, she began practising dance and at 8, she started taking solfeggio classes, while also learning to play the piano and cello.
Driven by an insatiable love for the craft, the young musician soon added chamber music to her repertoire, as well as harmony, counterpoint, sight-reading for strings and keyboard, as well as choral conducting!
When the multi-talented Laura isn’t performing on stage, she works as a teacher at the Conservatoire de Musique in Esch/Alzette, in the south of the country. A native speaker of Luxembourgish and French, the singer is also fluent in English and German.
Israel: Yuval Raphael - “New Day Will Rise”
She began her professional singing career in 2024 when she took part in TV talent show HaKokhav HaBa, captivating viewers with her vocals all the way through to the final of the competition, which she won.
Despite the relatively recent start, Yuval's life-long dream has always been to become a singer, with a particular interest in the soul and R&B genres. As a child, she listened to classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin and Scorpions, as well as iconic singers such as Beyoncé and Céline Dion.
Performing on stage in Basel won't be the singer's first time in Switzerland! As a child, Yuval lived in Geneva for three years, where she spent a lot of her time skiing and playing tennis.neva for three years, where she spent a lot of her time skiing and playing tennis.
Germany: Abor & Tynna - “Baller”
The brother and sister duo Abor & Tynna come from a family of musicians based in Vienna.
Their father, a cellist with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, influenced them from an early age and they both learnt to play classical instruments very young.
They wrote their first songs together in 2016, and their musical career has taken them from family evenings in the classroom to gigs in Vienna, Berlin and Hanover.
Serbia: Princ - “Mila”
As well as being a vocalist, Princ can also play guitar and drums. He has fronted a rock band in the past and he was also cast in the lead role of a Serbian production of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar.
The multi-talented musician first gained widespread recognition through The Voice of Bulgaria, where he reached the Top 12 among 4,000 contestants.
In 2023, Princ competed in Serbia’s Eurovision pre-selection Pesma za Evroviziju with the song Cvet Sa Istoka, placing second but winning the public vote. In 2025, he returned to win the competition outright, with Mila.
Finland: Erika Vikman - “Ich komme”
One of the brightest stars in the Finnish pop world, Erika Vikman, started her career in the entertainment industry at a very young age.
In the early stages of her career, she performed at summer theatres and various TV programmes and, in 2016, Vikman became famous among Finnish people by winning the popular Tangomarkkinat festival.
In 2020, the boundary-pushing artist had her big breakthrough hit with the 2x platinum-selling Cicciolina, and the following year, she released her self-titled debut album, which reached the top of the Finnish album charts.
Many more hits have followed, including the 3x platinum smashes Syntisten Pöytä and Ruoska, a collaboration with Eurovision Song Contest 2023 runner-up Käärijä.
