The reality that every Australian should think about is Retirement Savings where some groups can accumulate more than others.
New research has found that despite having a relatively small population, Australia's retirement savings are on track to be the second highest in the world by the early 2030s, after the United States.
And that accumulation is largely achieved thanks to Australia's pension fund system, according to haisl research by the Supers Members Council.
But the highly uneven distribution of pension funds comes at a time when Australia is set to become one of the richest countries for retirees.
The women's pension funds are far fewer and cause many elderly women to rely on the Old Age Pension Fund, the government payment for pensioners in Australia.
