Ballroom dancing, an elegant paired dance from Europe, is now gaining popularity as a fun way to stay fit and social.
In Australia, the ballroom community is very diverse, combining European traditions with unique local touches.
We chatted with Mr. Yoppy Yap, a renowned trainer and ballroom organizer in Sydney, about two popular dance styles: standard ballroom and New Vogue.
Standard ballrooms offer a diverse range of dances, from gentle waltzes to energetic cha-cha, suitable for all skill levels.
Meanwhile, New Vogue, which originated in Australia, is a sequential dance style with a more modern rhythm, incorporating elements from standard ballroom as well as Latin dance.

Many dancers enjoy both of these styles of dance. By combining elements from New Vogue and Freestyle Ballroom, dancers can create unique and personal styles.

In addition to the social and entertainment aspects, these two dances also offer a number of significant health benefits.
In addition, there are also cruise companies that offer ballroom dancing facilities and activities while sailing.
