An Indian software engineer from Kerala was found dead in Melbourne on Tuesday, February 7.
According to a report in , the deceased is Monisha Arun from Ponkunnam in Kerala who got married a few months ago to Arun- a nurse by profession, also a native of Kerala state.
Monisha was reportedly found dead in a bedroom of their house in Clayton in Melbourne’s south-east on Tuesday when her husband returned from work.
An ambulance was called just before 7 on Tuesday night. A spokesperson told they believed it was a case of self-harm.
Her relatives in India say they have not been informed about the circumstances of her death.
While Monisha's father Cherukattu Mohankumar is no more, her mother S Suseela Devi is a school headmistress in Kottayam, Kerala.
Members of the Malalyee Association are assisting the family in getting her body repatriated to India.
