More than two years ago, a full-scale war began in Ukraine. Since then, more than 13.5 thousand Ukrainians have arrived in Australia. 3,790 people were allowed to stay in Australia with a 786 humanitarian visa. Some of these families moved to regional Australia. We travelled to Orange and Molong in NSW to tell you the stories of three families for whom this place became their new home.


Interview with music teacher Anna Kovalenko, who was forced to leave Kyiv with her little son Stepan when the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine began.

She now lives with her family in regional Australia, four hours from Sydney, in Orange, and works six jobs.
